DBLs NAMED BLUEGRASS ARTIST OF THE YEAR
The Roots Music Association has named The Dixie Bee-Liners as Bluegrass Artist of the Year for 2008. The award presentation was made at the first annual World United Music Conference, held in November in San Marcos, TX. The band would like to thank all of our friends and fans who voted for us!
BEE-LINERS TO HOST BENEFIT CONCERT FOR 20TH ANNUAL NY CARES COAT DRIVE
The Bee-Liners will head Northeast this December for a tour that culminates in New York City on Dec. 14. There, the band will host an all-ages benefit concert for the 20th Annual New York Cares Coat Drive. Guest stars will include Lindy Loo, Jen Larson, and Terry McGill! The concert will be held at (le) poisson rouge on Bleecker Street in Manhattan. The band will offer holiday discounts on merchandise, and NYC concertgoers who bring a coat for donation will receive $5 off admission.
The Bee-Liners are also looking for 3 volunteers to collect coats at (le) poisson rouge in exchange for FREE ADMISSION to the show. Volunteers would collect coats at the venue, bag them, and deliver them to NY Cares at a designated drop point. Please email the band as soon as possible if you're interested!

CHART ACTION UPDATE
The Dixie Bee-Liners' new album RIPE topped the August '08 Bluegrass Now Fan's Choice Top 20 chart. This was the band's second time atop BN and its fourth #1 to date! The band also achieved two simultaneous #1's on Bluegrass Music Profiles' Top 20 Hot Singles and the Roots Music Report Bluegrass Chart. The Bee-Liners spent nine consecutive weeks atop the RMR Bluegrass chart and two consecutive months in the Top Ten of both Bluegrass Unlimited charts. All in all, DBLs spent 23 weeks at #1 in 2008.
